He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Fickel and Lois Fickel (Troyer); and his brothers, Paul, Robert, William, Rolland, Kenneth and Darrell Fickel.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Smith; his children, Gary Fickel (Sue) of Rimer and Sandra Kaple (Steve) of Florida; and his sisters, Bernadean Roney, Marilyn Gudakunst, Diane Neff, Susan Hitchcock and Yvonne Yeager. He is also survived by 2 granddaughters; 2 great-granddaughters.
