She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Jacob and Sarah Edna Schafer (Tummel); her husband Donald Hughes; her daughter Kathie Selhorst; her grandson Jason Hughes; her great grandchild Claire Wrasman; her siblings, Fred Schafer, Harold Schafer, Robert Schafer, Marie Martin, Beatrice Peggs, Mildred Gross, Helen Foust, Dorothy Brown and Kathryn Davis; and her daughter-in-law Phyllis Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Hughes, Jr. of Ottawa, Mike Hughes of Vaughnsville and Pam Maag (Jim) of Ottawa; her son-in-law Tom Selhorst of Columbus Grove; and her sister-in-law Eileen Schafer. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren.
