He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry V. Harlow and Ruth Mae Harlow (McCroskey). He is survived by: his daughter Frankie; his sister Lala Gausman; his wife Henrietta; his sons, Frank Harlow Jr. (Holly), Rodney Harlow and Shane Harlow (Jennifer); his stepdaughters, Kimberly Hyatt and Tonya Moyer; his grandchildren, Holly, Shannon, Nicole, Sam, Brittany, Jordan and Brooke; his great grandchildren, Owen, Cadence and Addison; and his siblings, Eva Thomas, Thelma Brown and Walter Harlow (Shirley). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vandalia Firefighters Association in Frank's memory.

“I met Frank in my office many years ago and before I could say no he recruited me as a novice mandolin player in his bluegrass band! He became a great friend and a few years ago spent 3 months mentoring me building my very own Harlow guitar. I will miss him but plan on getting together in the future on the "other side" playing in the band! Dr Dan Miller”
