He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Thomas and Dortha Thomas (Miller); and his wife Darlene. He is survived by: his sisters, Patsy Via and Susan Sewell; his grandchildren, Tasha, Dakota, Lauren (Dylan), Joey, Kari, Justice (Dakota), Paige (Amanda) and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Kaiden, Dante, Waverly, Olivia, Ellie, Miles, Emsley and Emersyn; and also, Eric Thomas (Cindy), Scott Thomas (Beth) and Marc Thomas (Jeanette).

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of D.J. to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH.
