He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Harter and Bertha Harter (Wheeler); his wife Jane Harter (Swygart); his son-in-law Chris Beamer; and his grandson Jason Beamer.
He is survived by: his children, Nanette Harter of Kehei, Pamela Beamer of Van Wert, Melanie Levy (Will) of Van Wert and Warren Harter of Van Wert; his grandchildren, Madison Shelton (Dennis), Will Levy (Meghan) and Hailey McAllister; and his stepchildren, Lynn Davis (Rex), Lee Schumm (Larry), Randy Bevington (Judy), Todd Bevington (Jean) and Laura Brewster (Sam).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Venedocia Lions Club or Trinity Global Methodist Church.
