We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2020, at the age of 90, Richard Evans of Van Wert, Ohio, born in Middle Point, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Thomas Evans and Alice Irene Evans Miller (Kohn); his brother William R.; and his sister-in-law Shelia L. Evans (Brumback) of Findlay. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Mae Evans (Pollock); his daughters, Laura Jones (Major James) of Van Wert and Sarah Tackett (Jeffrey) of Defiance; his half-brother Thomas J. Evans (Elaine) of Delphos; and his grandchildren, Ashley Smidt (Josh) of Grand Island, NE, Derek Jones (Rebeka) of Wichita, KS, Melissa Bloomfield of Van Wert, Adam Bates (Shannan) of Defiance, Evan Bates of Defiance, Anna Tackett of Defiance, Mackenzie Jones of Van Wert and Emma Tackett of Defiance. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, charitable memorial contributions may be given in Richard's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
