He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Gayle and Ida Emma Bowen (Schaadt); his son Ric Bowen; and his brother Robert Eugene Bowen. He is survived by: his wife Jill Lee Bowen (Moser); his son Michael L.; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Bowen; his brothers, Frank Bowen (Cheryl) of Ohio City and Stephen Bowen (Jane) of Rockford; and his granddaughters, Hannah, Emma and Elizabeth Bowen.
