He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Taylor (Larry) of Gahanna, OH, Kathleen "Kathy" Sprague (Tony) of Ft. Wayne, IN and Patricia "Patti" Mathew of Van Wert; his grandchildren, Heather Custer (Travis), Jaclyn Malfara (Chris), Kristen Spurgeon (Ryan), Kelly Avalos (Josh), Michelle Florence (Nate), Clint Mathew (Lindsay) and Lauren Lutz (Josh); and his siblings, Thomas Bates (Barbara) of Van Wert and Mary Tierney of Van Wert. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
