Phyllis Joan (Sites) Schaberg Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2025, at the age of 92, Phyllis Joan (Sites) Schaberg (Van Wert, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Sites and Ethel Sites (Waller); her husband Lowell Schaberg; her son Michael Schaberg; and her sisters, Wilma Michael, Louise Taylor, Vera Brewer, Mid Stemen, Ruby Stoller and Betty Jane Sites.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Schaberg of Libertyville, Elaine Rhoades (Jim) of Van Wert, Mark Schaberg of Van Wert and Deb Chiles (Mike) of Van Wert; her grandchildren, Rebecca Marks (Joshua), Catherine Kirsche (Daniel), Erika Berner (Travis Ricker), Brian Rhoades, Jen Biberstine (Trey Courtney), Cade Chiles (Laura), Gage Chiles (Megan) and Dane Chiles; and her great grandchildren, Zachary, Madeline, Ziva, Emmet, Carter, Cason, Campbell, Jordyn and Drew.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory (722 S Washington St, Van Wert, OH 45891). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Convoy I. O. O. F Cemetery (6200-6248, Township Hwy 176, Convoy, OH 45832).
