Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Opal Mae Shoop of Van Wert, Ohio, born in Ironton, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 87, on January 12, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Sheets and Stella Sheets (Kelly); her granddaughter Elizabeth Sellars; and her siblings, Terry Sheets, Glen Sheets, Freddy Sheets, Ed Sheets, Rose Kin and Helen Miller.
She is survived by: her sons, Tim Sellars (Regina) of Forest and John Sellars (Darlene) of Lakeland; her husband John Shoop; her daughters, Sherry Hughes (Tom) of Van Wert and Lisa Trisel (Jake) of Van Wert; her grandchildren, Frank Sellars, Mike Sellars, Petra Sellars, Laura Kincade, Samantha Turnwald, Andy Detwiler, Abbey Caballero, Alex Unterbrink, Jennifer Blakely, Jon Trisel and Jennifer Clevenger; and her siblings, Gary Sheets and Thelma Lafferty.
Due to COVID-19 there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Opal's memory may be directed to the Van Wert County Council on Aging.
