With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Scheidt (Van Wert, Ohio), who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandson Travis Scheidt; and her siblings, Eugene Krugh, Wilbur Krugh, Billy C. Krugh, Marcile Beougher, Marcella Smith, Arlene Kline, Alice Mae Blatchley and Donna Ruth McGlyn.
She is survived by: her sons, Bradley Scheidt (Becky) of Van Wert, Bing Scheidt (Sherri) of Rockford and Gregg Scheidt (Ava) of Ohio City; her grandchildren, Erin Lynch (Chris), Amber Slusher (Greg), Alysha Hall (Stan), Kyle Scheidt (Jama), Andrew Scheidt (Abby) and Jordon Scheidt (Rebecca); and her great grandchildren, Alyxandria Adams (Chandler), Caden Slusher, Jenna Lynch, Gavin Lynch, Grayson Scheidt and Harper Scheidt.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cowan & Son Funeral Home (616 S Washington St, Van Wert, OH 45891). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Preferred memorials are to the Ohio City United Methodist Church.
