The passing of Martha E. Poling of Van Wert, Ohio leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 17, 2025 at the age of 97. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Gehres and Iona Caroline Gehres (Kreischer); her husband Vernon F. Poling; and her siblings, Donald Gehres, Albert Gehres, Erwin Jacob Gehres, Floyd Gehres, Marlin Gehres, Eileen Gehres and Elsie Lorena Gehres.
She is survived by: her sister Thelma Gehres of St. Joseph; and her sister-in-law Carolyn Gehres of Wren, Ohio. She is also survived by eighteen nieces and nephews, as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Church (6077 German Church Rd, Ohio City, OH 45874). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Preferred memorials are to the St. Paul's Church Memorial Fund or the Wren Fire & EMS Department.
