It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Merkle of Van Wert, Ohio, who passed away on December 17, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marilyn Merkle to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Edwin Sherburn and Esther E. Sherburn On (Rager); and her siblings, Lowell E. Sherburn, Earl F. Sherburn, Bernita J. Showalter and Ruth M. Good.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Neuenschwander (Ned) of St. Clairsville, Daleen Del Forn (George) of Winter Springs, FL and Kent L. Merkle of Webbersville, MI; her grandchildren, Peter Merkle, Lauren Del Forn, Jeffrey Del Forn, Rebecca Del Forn, Mark Neuenschwander (Mary), Scott Neuenschwander (Ashley) and Eric Neuenschwander; and also Janice Sherburn of Carlsbad, California.. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Preferred memorials are to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center or the First Presbyterian Church Organ Fund.
