She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Hainline and Evelyn Hainline (Norris); her daughter Rachel Smith; her siblings, Loretta Hainline, Earl and Duane Hainline; and her former husbands, Franklin D. Smith and James T. Garrett.
She is survived by: her children, Arnelle Adam (Ryan) of Convoy, Ohio, Franklin D. Smith, Jr. (Brenda) of Van Wert and Troy Garrett (Brenda) of Van Wert; her grandchildren, Dr. Zachary Smith (Dijana), Dr. Allison Krugh (Nicholas), Rustin Adam (Megan), James and Beth Garrett; and her great grandchildren, Lara Smith, Ellie and Aiden Adam.
