He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilkin and Ruth Wilkin (Swartz); his daughter Kristine A. Breisch; and his brother John Wayne Wilkin. He is survived by: his wife Carol Wilkin of Van Wert; his son Andrew Wilkin; his siblings, Roger Wilkin of Wetzel, Lyla "Kay" Caris (James) of Paulding and Joyce Weck (Ron) of Paulding; and his siblings-in-law, Paula Eisenhour (John), Judy Lamaestra (Val), Trudy Wilkin and Gordon Miller (Becky). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Van Wert Agricultural Society or the Salvation Army.
