He was predeceased by: his parents, Leandro Martinez and Gregoria Martinez (Rodriguez); and his siblings, Fred Martinez, Lee Martinez (Bev), John Pisarro, Carol Diaz-Martinez, Maria Casarez, Rito, Jesse Martinez, Guadalupe Martinez, Esperanza Valdez and Sanjuana Stetler.
He is survived by: his wife Connie; his daughter Nichola Warneke (Doug); his grandson Zach Spear; his stepdaughter Kimberly Bauman (Eric); his stepgrandchildren, Rich Klinger and Brooke Barnes (Shane); and his pet Johnny. He is also survived by several step great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
