He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Knapke and Esther Knapke (Hartings); and his niece Rebekah Perez. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Knapke (James); his children, Rachel Sergent of Murrells Inlet, Drake Knapke of Van Wert and Dustin Fensler of Van Wert; his grandchildren, Hunter and Madelynn Sergent; his sister Linda Perez; his nephews, Bobby and Joe Perez; and his niece Angie Perez.
