He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, R. Doyle Maus and Bonnie M. Maus (Rader); his wife Jane A. Maus (Buettner); his sons, Jason R. Maus (Lindsey) of Belle Center and Joseph Maus (Elizabeth) of Westerville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Hayden, Jackson, Anna and Max Maus; and his brother Jerry Maus (Cindy) of Harrod, Ohio..

Preferred memorials are to the Van Wert County Foundation for concerts in the park.
