She was predeceased by: her husbands, Junior Guy Gilbert and James Eldon Pankake; and her son David Lee Gilbert. She is survived by: her children, Danny Gilbert (Sarah), Dennis Gilbert (Deborah) and Robin Luftig (Lew); and her daughter-in-law Lois Gilbert. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers charitable contributions can be directed to the First Baptist Church of Van Wert, Ohio.
