With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jane Harter of Van Wert, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jane left this world on February 3, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery G. Swygart and Frances L. Swygart (Crider); her former husband Howard Bevington; and her siblings, Janelle Miller and George Swyart.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Harter; and her children, Lynn Davis (Rex), Lee Schumm (Larry) of Colorado Springs, CO, Laura Brewster (Sam) of Lansing, MI, Rev. Randy Bevington (Judy) and Todd Bevington (Jean). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home Chapel (722 S Washington St, Van Wert, OH 45891). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CHP Homecare and Hospice or to Trinity Global Methodist Church.
