He was predeceased by: his brother Jeff Ebel; his sister-in-law Cathy Ebel; and his nephew Kevin Ebel. He is survived by: his children, Alix Ebel of Van Wert and Cory Ebel of Van Wert; his grandson Owen Ebel; his siblings, Lyle Ebel (Debra) of Grover Hill, Earl Ebel Jr. of Convoy and Faith Fabian (Ed) of Convoy; his sister-in-law Dian Ebel of Van Wert; and his nieces and nephews, Erick Ebel, Anthony Baker (Kelly), Jeremy Ebel (Kim), Josh Fabian (Amy), Nikki Ebel, Teà Davis (Jason) and Sherry Brummette (Kenny).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gregory's memory may be sent to the Van Wert County Humane Society or the Lutheran Hour of Worship.
