He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy S. Tyas and Arlene M. Tyas (Rhoad); his grandparents, George, Carrie Tyas, John and Gertrude Rhoad; and his brother Leroy Tyas.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn D. Tyas (Rogers); his sister Margaret Miller (Richard) of Van Wert; his children, Jennifer Daugherty (David) of Ft. Wayne and Jason Tyas (Brooke) of Van Wert; and his grandchildren, Noah Daugherty (Nevada), William Tyas, Charissa Tyas, Rebecca Daugherty, Samuel Tyas, John Tyas, Xavier Tyas, Robert Tyas, Colby Tyas and Phillip Tyas.
Memorials can be given to St. Mark's Lutheran or CHP Home Care and Hospice.
