We are sad to announce that on December 14, 2022, at the age of 94, Edwin L Bates of Van Wert, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence C. Bates and Emma J. Bates (Buzek); and his wife Jacqueline J. King. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey L. Bates (Jan) of Perrysburg and Scott Bates of Van Wert; and his sister Susan Sumption of South Bend. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ed's memory may be directed to the Thomas Edison Memorial Endowment Fund of Van Wert.
