He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schlenker and Alice Schlenker (Koch); his sister Marianne Schlenker; and his siblings-in-law, Rhonda Morris and Carl Wierda.
He is survived by: his wife Terri (Sullivan); his children, Shannon Schlenker of Van Wert, Edward Stacey Schlenker (Casey) of Bowling Green and Heidi Smith (J. R.) of Van Wert; and his siblings, Mark Schlenker (Jayne) of Missouri and Sue Wierda of New York. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory (722 S Washington St, Van Wert, OH 45891). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
