It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie L. Woodard Sr. of Van Wert, Ohio, born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil G. Woodard and Arliss Elaine Woodard (Bates). He is survived by: his spouse Kim T. Hale-Woodard (Galloway); his children, Eddie Woodard, Jr. (Jesika) of Van Wert, Shane Hale (Joanne Thatcher) of Middle Point, Shannon Hale (Carmen) of Grover Hill, Ryan Hale (Malissa) of Grover Hill, Debra Buechner (Jeremy) of Van Wert, Cynthia Buck (Donnie) of Pierson, Jennifer Brown (Eric) of Convoy and Crystal Seward (Keil) of Hillard, Ohio; and his siblings, Larry Woodard of Convoy, Nancy Thompson of Fort Wayne and Cheryl Baker (Elmer) of Payne. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Preferred memorials are to the Convoy Fox Hunters Club.

“To the family of Ed.......Was saddened to receive news of your Dad's, Grandfather's and Brother's death.....It's been a long, long time since I had the good fortune of seeing and visiting with him.....perhaps 30 - 40 years...... back when he lived southwest of Payne, near where he grew up. I always enjoyed him...and being in his home discussing insurance and seeing how he performed his duties as a Dad! Very well I might add. He was a good man and he'll be fondly remembered. W/our sympathy”
