It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Thomas of Van Wert, Ohio, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Don Thomas to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Andrew Thomas and Violet Caroline Heath (Brotherwood); his wife Mary Ellen Thomas; his son Rodney Thomas; and his siblings, Forest Andrew Thomas, Robert Thomas, Violet Marie Eshmeyer and Helen Louise Brotherwood.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Thomas (Deb Hire) of Van Wert, Kay Carter (Jim) of Ft Wayne, Ronda Thomas (Mark Flores) of Los Angeles and Jan Osenbaugh (Todd Plummer) of Lima; and his grandchildren, Brian Thomas, Dara Bennett (John), Jade Osenbaugh, Jason Osenbaugh, Kim Brandt-Lubart (Dane), Max Earl and Ava Flores. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Don may be directed to the Van Wert County Historical Society.
