He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Kimmey and Ova Hesper Kimmey (Roberts); his son Michael Kimmey; and his siblings, Gordon Kimmey, Ruth Foust and Lucille Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Shaner; his children, Michelle Gunter (Eric) of Van Wert and Doug Kimmey of New York, NY.; and his grandchildren, Gracie, Garett, Griffin Gunter, Andrew Kimmey and Zachary Kimmey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to the Van Wert Recking Crew for the support of Van Wert Football or to Van Wert Basketball for the support of the boys' basketball program.
