He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Gladys; his spouse Billie Simpson; his brother Jack Merris; and his son-in-law Bob Hoersten.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Creevy (Don) of Huntertown, IN and Vickie Hoersten of Van Wert; his grandchildren, Kristin Savage (David) of Battle Creek, MI, Joshua Hoersten (Sabrina) of Battle Creek, MI, Megan Hoersten of Van Wert and Andrew Creevy of Huntertown, IN; his great grandchildren, Aaron, Ethan, Caleb, Leia, Caden and Kyler; and his sister Janice Remagen (Lawrence).
