He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Lowell and Naomi Winnifred Spridgeon (Jackson); his wife Linda Dianne Spridgeon; his brother Doyt Spridgeon; his grandson Jacob Stanley; and his son-in-law Mike Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Melanie Jones (Greg) of Defiance, Susan Mills (Weston) of Scott, Richard Spridgeon (Michelle) of Van Wert, David Spridgeon of Tiffin and Jeffrey Spridgeon (Amy) of Hebron; his stepdaughters, Jonie M. Layton-Pierce of Lima and Lynn M. Taylor of Van Wert; his siblings-in-law, Alberta Spridgeon of Columbus, George Lowther of Wapakoneta, Keith Lowther (Debra) of Cridersville and Connie Mayer (Kevin) of Shawnee; and his niece Linda Spridgeon. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
