He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Everett Elder and Louise V. Elder (Baxter); his sister Jacqueline Nofer (Don); his brother-in-law Don Bridges (Carolyn Bridges); and his grandson Andrew M. Elder.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Elder (Denise) and Troy Elder (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Brooks Elder (Kennedy), Mackenzie Elder, Logan Elder (Tori Beebe), Dr. Alec Elder (Grayson), Breigh Elder (Kayla Gilhousen), Alexis Kirk, Chris Kirk (Cheryl), Zack Burkhammer and Brandon Clark; his sister Jane Taylor (Ed) of Convoy; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Young (David) and Carolyn Bridges; and his cousin Bob Snyder. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
