He was predeceased by: his father Allen "Whitey" Custer; and his niece Brandy Hartman. He is survived by: his son Adam Custer (Liz) of Van Wert; his siblings, Gordon "Gordy" Custer (Malynda) of Van Wert, Pam Waltmire of Van Wert and Vicki Vonderembse (Scott) of Delphos; and his granddaughter Laramie Custer. He is also survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
