He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Speelman and Mable Speelman (Smith); his son Robert Eugene Speelman; his siblings, Earl, Alfred Speelman, Imogene Wortman and Leola Davis; and his great grandchild Grace Anna McClure.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalyn Speelman (Fisher) of Van Wert; his daughter Carla Rene Speelman of Van Wert; his daughter-in-law Suzanne Speelman; his sister-in-law Carol Speelman; his grandchildren, Lucas McClure (Erin), Matthew Speelman (Kala) of Van Wert, Carly and Lauren Speelman; his great grandchildren, Corey, Gabriella of Gavin, CJ, Fisher, Nellie, Henry and Wraylie; and his great great grandchildren, Destin and Robert. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
