Akers and Linda Lee Akers (Amick); his spouse Vaune Plas; his sons, Adam Akers (Mercedes) of Carrol and Tyler Akers (Erika) of Nashville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Halle Grace, Emersyn, Cohen, Roman and Ellie; and his siblings, Audrey Akers Jr. (Louisa) of Troy, Jonathon Akers (Brigitte) of LaGrange and Karen Peters (Darryl) of Elyria.
