With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathy Jean Jones of Valley City, Ohio, who passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Kathy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Larry Rector and Irene Rector; her husband Rodger Jones; and her granddaughter Casey. She is survived by: her children, Denise McIver, Stephanie Seward (Kent) and David Garret III (Amber). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bauer Funeral Home (2089 Columbia Rd, Valley City, OH 44280). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Life Spring Community Church (1638 Lester Rd, Valley City, OH 44280).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation in Kathy's name to Birth Care of Medina or Life Spring Community Church.
