She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald "Bud" Johns; her son Gerald Douglas; and her sisters, Vivian Edman and Gwendolyn Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Davis (Greg), Karen Hoover (Hal), Vickie Williams (Scott), Kimberly Garee (Tim), Shelly Ellis (Randy) and Jody Minton (Tim); and her siblings, Jackie McDonald (Chuck) and James Lake. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
