He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Ronald and Mary Margaret Black (Tulloss); his brothers, Kenneth, Roger (Marcene) and Thomas; his sister-in-law Viola Johnson; and his daughter-in-law Kang Mi Black (Faye Ann Spray).
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ellyn Johnson of Utica; his sons, David Gregory (Tami) and Phillip Daniel (Olivia); his grandchildren, Adam (Mandy) and Desireé; his great grandchildren, Iris Lynn and Purity Kang Mi; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ellen, JoAnn and Kip Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
