He was predeceased by: his parents, David A. "Red" and Della Richards; his wife Emma "Grace" Richards (Moran); and his siblings, Paul, Quay, Jim, Sam, Lucille, Merle, Earl, Joe, Dale, Gale and Leonard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Wright (Larry) of Johnstown and Brenda Atkins (Tom) of Croton; his grandchildren, Tricia Honaker, Michelle Buckenberger (Andy), Brian Pothorski, Brad Pothorski (Amy) and Ken Atkins; and his children, Deborah and Austin C.. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
