He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Dern and Grace Dern; his former wife Betty Marie Dern (Edinger); and his brother Robert Dern. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dern; his son William "Keith" Dern Jr. (Dianna); his stepdaughter Michelle Gaver; his nephew Bruce Dern (Lynn); his great-nephew Rob Dern (Becky); his great-niece Cindy Estep (Phil); and his grandchildren, Grant and Hannah. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity in William's name.
