He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Rutan and Kathryn Rutan (Shelpman); his sister Sharon Smith; and his brother-in-law William Blazer. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Rutan; his sons, Douglas Ray (Angela) and Deron Bradley (Amy); his grandchildren, Jordan Rutan (Cambria), Rachael Rutan Ravert (Zachary), Jessica Rutan McDonald (Michael), Megan Rutan, Jacob Rutan and Justin Rutan; his great grandchildren, Pierce, Gemma, Thessalli Rutan, Zoey, Chloe Ravert, Charlotte McDonald and Abigail Dunlap; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Bea Blazer and Karen Sue Blazer.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Urbana Church of Christ (1121 N Main St, Urbana, OH 43078). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
