He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Ward and Ora Ward (Bishop); and his siblings, Paul Ward, Calvin Ward, Rolland Ward, Dorothy Seignthaler, Norma Nicholas and Thelma Jean Yoder.
He is survived by: his wife Odessa "Dee" L. Ward (Ater); his son Michael Eugene Ward; his sister Sandra Irene Ward; and his grandchildren, Kyle Bruce Ward, Kaitlyn Michelle Ward and Chloe Careen Ward. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
