He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennett Y. Vernon and Vella Vernon (Hollenbough); and his brothers, George Vernon, Harold, Fred, Donald and Elmer Petske.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Vernon (Cutshall); his children, Perry Vernon (Loretta) of Urbana, Scott Vernon (Bev) of Virginia, Honorary and Angela McKenzie (Rob Thorpe) of Urbana; his sisters, Donna McMann (Robert) of Dayton, Joan Latham (Benny) of Mechanicsburg and Maggie Crose; his grandchildren, Hillary and Pvt; his great grandchild Felix; and his sisters, Hazel Vernon, Mildred Singleton, Margie Kothman, Mabel Human and Mary Manson.
Guests are respectfully asked to wear masks and attendance will be monitored to ensure safety for everyone attending.
