He is survived by: his parent Imogene Woodruff Newman; his spouse Linda Sue Hook; his children, Trent Newman of Urbana and Christi Lanning (James) of Carbon Hill; and his stepchildren, Duane Lanning (Cheryl) and Anissa Rowesner (Mick).
