He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Holtvoigt and Rita Holtvoigt (Weidner); his father-in-law Tom Poe (Clair); and his sisters-in-law, Diana Oliver and Diane Holtvoigt.
He is survived by: his wife Connie A. Holtvoigt; his children, Tammy Tanner (Terry), Amy Elliott (Rhett), Peggy Olson, Joe Holtvoigt (Kimberly) and Michael Holtvoigt (Ginger); and his brother Ralph Holtvoigt. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
