He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Smith and Mary K. Heck (Stapleton); his children, Sonja Parker and Randy Smith; his grandson Denny Parker; his siblings, William Howard Smith and Irene Cornell; his grandmother Florence Stapleton; and his parents-in-law, John and Lucy Jenkins.
He is survived by: his grandson Ryan; his wife Dorothy Smith (Jenkins); his children, Brian Smith and Cynthia Reisinger (Ronnie); his daughter-in-law Debbie Smith (Kennedy); his grandchildren, Emerson Parker, Danny Parker, Jennifer Smith (Travis), Brittney Reisinger (Matt), Laura McWilliams (Jacob), Sammy and Josh; his great grandchildren, Aubree and Braelyn; and his stepbrothers, Chuckie Heck (Linda) and Jerry Heck (Mary). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
