She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wesley and Frances Joye Ladd (Williams); her husband Edward H. "June" Couts; her siblings, Leslie Charles Ladd, Richard Ladd, Donald Ladd, Thelma Breaston, Marjorie Taylor, Freda Gaskins, Juanita Robinson and Vera Stanhope; and her siblings-in-law, Alice Rogan and Norman Couts.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Lee Couts Jr. (Myra), Marie Elaine Couts-Shepard (Clarence) and Barry Eugene (Beverly); her grandchildren, Candace L. (Sean), Shepard, William Edward "Eddie" Couts (Stacy), Kimberly Couts, Carmen Kurdziel (Jason), Erica Dudley (Wayne), Dr. Kristin Barron (Kurt), Barry Couts, Jr. (Amanda), Jessica Couts, Nathan Couts and Stephanie Frye (Zach); her great grandchildren, Chauncey Barron, Anna Barron, Benjamin Kurdziel, Sadie Kurdziel, Sean D. Martin II, Isaiah Dudley, Amya Dudley, Zayne Dudley, Ezekiel Dudley, Kendrix Dudley, Marcus Couts, Jayce Couts, Jaden Couts, Jordan Couts, Eula Ann Frye, Ida Frye and Ava Frye; her sister Janice Bacon-Gray; and her siblings-in-law, Jeanette Stevens, Shirley Ward, Dorothy "Flo" Smith, Charlene Couts and Jack Couts. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family and friends.
