He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora M. Carnes (Lenhart) and James Guilford Carnes. He is survived by: his wife Patty Carnes; his daughter Mary G. Carnes; his grandson James Guilford Covington of San Diego, CA; his sister Jennie Henry; and his siblings-in-law, Pastor Mike Sayre and Diane.
