He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Smith and Laura Smith (Martin); his former wife Rachel Ann Smith; and his siblings, Norma Jean Meyers, Richard Smith and Douglas Smith.
He is survived by: his children, David Smith (Connie) of Jackson, Elizabeth Heinlin (Dan) of Arizona, Shirley Dutra (Gregg) of Texas and Clifford Smith (Ethel H.) of West Liberty, Ohio; and his sister Nancy Hancock. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
