He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin W. Goings and Zora K. Goings (Alexander); his siblings, Myrtle Burnside, Charles Goings, JoAnn Walters and Glen Goings; his great grandchild Grace Phillips; and his nephew Anthony "Tony" Goings.
He is survived by: his wife Mary D. Goings; his daughters, Suzan Cushman (Thad) and Marsha Evans (Richard); his grandchildren, Richard Paul Evans, Thad Allen, Teresa Phillips (Evans), Gregory Cushman (Tiffany) and April Wilson (Timothy); and his great grandchildren, Dylan Gentis, Cole Wilson, Reese Wilson (Chelsea), Bailey Cushman, Van Phillips, Victoria Wilson, Denver Cushman and Cody Cushman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
