With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Vernon Ware of Urbana, Ohio, who passed away on August 28, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Ware and Elizabeth Ware (Finley); his grandsons, Christopher and Matthew Miller; his son-in-law James Ferryman; his parents-in-law, Roosevelt and Gertrude Carter; and his sister-in-law Barbara Ware.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Ware (Carter); his daughters, Jan Ware Russell (Craig) and Joy Ware Miller (Charles); his grandchildren, Shane Ferryman, Ashley Ferryman Breneman, Lauren and Olivia Miller; his great grandchildren, Breeze Breneman, Nolan, Niko Nay and Shane Michael Ferryman; and his siblings, Barbara Booker Sr. (Robert), Jan Gilbert Ware and Alan Ware Sr. (Antoinette). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
