He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Newell and Alta Harlene Towler (Barger); his wife Barb; and his sister Ruth Bates. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Sue Roberson (Bill) of Westerville and Mark Towler (Debbie) of Urbana; his grandson Tyler Trimble (Taylor) of North Carolina; his sister Mary Yocom (Ross) of Cable; and his close friend Brandon Segovia of Urbana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
